Looking good. Timing: 2020.265.12:33:11.11/gps-fmout/+4.81470867793216E-005 Weather: 2020.265.12:33:05.57/wx/13.4,1015.6,85.4,5.8,195.8 First source: 1936-155,193926.660,-152543.10,2000.0000 at 17UT EXTRA NOTES (possibly worth knowing for correlation/analysis): - The ONSALA60 cable-cal system has changed slightly. In the past, "cablelong" measurements were done by manually inserting a ca 20cm extra cable into the delay-cal unit signal path. Starting with R1965, this manual procedure has instead been replaced by a relay-switch. The relay can by remote control switch the signal between a short (no extra cable) and long (extra cable). The reason for this change is twofold: a) The 20cm cable used (many, many times) for the cablelong-measurements has broken, and b) manual insertion of cable is not possible during remote observations (most experiments are remotely controlled from start of covid-19). The relay provides the ability to switch in extra cable length for the cablelong-measurement also in remote operation. It also reduces the risk of operational errors during the cable-change procedures (e.g. nuts not being tightened fully and similar issues.) Now: Because the relay is inserted in the cable-cal chain in all operation modes (short/long cable), there is a systematic bias offset in _all_ the values reported by the FS "cable" command, compared to previous experiments. Previous experiments had values around 37.54e-3 in the "short" mode. Now the "short" values are around 36.84e-3, i.e. a shift of about 700ns. This is one single constant (direction-independent) offset. Both cable/phase cal would be affected equally, and hence the shift should be absorbed in the usual corrections. Thus, it should only have a minor (if any) effect on the analysis. Still, the change has been made and I therefore make a note of it here, in case it affects something in an unforeseen way. - The ONSALA60 subreflector sensor system is being changed, because existing sensors are failing. The shift to a new system may cause minor (<0.1mm) changes to the subreflector position, compared to previous experiments. ================================ r1965on START ================================= 2020-09-21 17:11:11 r1965, ONSALA60, start message ONSALA60 has started R1965 as planned.
